Europe once again 2010 - Amsterdam

Amsterdam
Beautiful city with lots of flowers which made it really colorful. Tulips, lots of them. Hard to believe that they are not local to Netherlands but from the orient. Birthplace of Heineken, notorious for its coffeeshops and red light district...

Febo - fast food - really fast food.

Sights around AMS

The narrowest house in the world, imagine living in a 3 feet wide space...

One of the squatter housing - where people took up empty houses

Europe once again 2010 - Copenhagen

Copenhagen -
An interesting city with not much sights to see. I only remembered that it is cold there and we did not see the famous Mermaid as it was away at the Shanghai expo. The whole city is a bit quirky in terms of its layout and architecture, the weather is cold yet always bright. It seems to be a place full of contradictions.

Our berth on the overnight sleeper to Copenhagen from Amsterdam

Scenery along the way

Copenhagen - some interesting architecture..Notice the crocodile-like cone on the roof??

At the seaside - lovely weather and delicious hotdog

Soren Kierkegaard

At the city hall

Inside Tivoli - the oldest theme park in the world...

We think these people are the royalty or some sort

Europe once again 2010 - Berlin

Breakfast at Gorki Park - A Communist restaurant with delicious pancakes

Berlin Musuem Park

At the flea market outside the museums

Hands from Nefititti statues - it's such a rare find that we were very excited.

Babylonian temple within a museum

We took a picture of this little gal who was looking super professional in taking her pictures. Such intensity in someone so young.

WWII memorial for the Jews

The apartments of the secret police and carpark where Hitler killed himself.

Bullets holes from the war

Pink water pipes

Drivable paper car driven during the communist period. There are still a few of these left on the streets.

Berlin Wall, or part of it.

Checkpoint Charlie - The intersection between communist and capitalist. No, the picture is not of Charlie.

Prater - Supposedly the best Pork Knuckle in Berlin. Knuckle's ok, but thumbs up for the ambience.
