Ok, I think the changing of guards is really overated. Really, there's just too many people surrounding the palace for you to get a good look at the change. Then when the real things happened, it's just a group of men wearing red coats in the hot sun marching and playing trumpet into the palace....
there were a lot of humans... I mean A LOT!! All I could see was human heads (see first picture)
Finally, we saw some guards... interesting to note that there are guards of other race (don't think you can see from the picture above).
Looking at the red livery guards, they remind me of Mr. Bean.. haha.. Anyway, no, we didn't go into the Buckingham (cost entry fee cost a whooping 15pounds, that is >S$45), and we didn't catch a look at the royal family (no Prince William or Queen Elizabeth or their royal corgis)...
After watching that sort-of disappointing but kind-of exciting changing of guards, we went Oxford Street to shop... yay!! (Note: We are too tired to take any more pictures for the day :()
Latter in the day (but not too late), we visit the Bank of England (which we could not be sure as it is named the Royal Stock Exchange) and took bus 11 home...That's when we realised that there were a lot of places of interest we have not visited, such as:
St. Paul
Changing of Horse Guards
Portabello
West End
and so much more
And it's already our last day in UK...Sigh....
